A big fire was burning in Plymouth, New Hampshire, on Saturday night. People shared pictures on social media.
Fire at The Flying Monkey
The fire was at The Flying Monkey, a theater and concert place. Pictures showed flames from the building.
The New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office said they were asked for help. Local firefighters are leading the response. We’re uncertain whether anyone was injured.
The venue was hosting a tribute band for Foreigner and Journey. Constantine Maroulis, a one-time “American Idol” contestant and Tony award nominee, was performing.
Vincent Vella, the boss of The Common Man Family, which owns The Flying Monkey, said 450 people got out safely. He explained what happened:
During the show, our staff saw a fire next door. They evacuated 450 guests, workers, and musicians. Everyone is safe, thanks to the Plymouth Fire Department and crews from nearby places. We’re waiting for the fire officials to tell us. Lots of people are showing support on social media. We’re thankful for everyone caring about our venue, staff, guests, and The Common Man family.
