A music boss is under federal investigation for sex trafficking, assault, narcotics, and firearms allegations.
Sean “Diddy” Combs is under investigation by the government. The investigation is about lawsuits against him. They involve sex trafficking, assault, and illegal drugs. Federal agents searched his properties in Los Angeles and Miami. They’re looking for evidence related to the lawsuits. Four people have already been interviewed.
More interviews are scheduled. The investigation is happening in Manhattan. The warrants are from New York’s Southern District. The investigation involves Homeland Security. They’re looking into serious allegations against Combs.
Homeland Security took action in New York, Los Angeles, and Miami as part of an ongoing investigation. They seized phones from Combs in Miami before his trip to the Bahamas. Combs was in Miami when the searches happened. It’s unclear if he still went on his trip.
Combs faces allegations of abuse from his former partner, Cassie. She filed a lawsuit in New York, accusing him of physical and sexual abuse. A federal investigation follows these allegations, which were made under the New York Adult Survivors Act. This law allowed adult victims of assault to file civil claims.
Cassie, also known as Casandra Ventura, settled with Combs on Nov. 17. Three other women came forward with lawsuits. Two said they were teenagers when they were assaulted. Douglas Wigdor, who represents Ventura, hopes the investigation will hold Combs accountable. He supports law enforcement in prosecuting those who break the law.
Combs says he didn’t do anything wrong and thinks the claims are disgusting.
A producer who used to work for Combs is suing him. The producer says Combs did bad things to him. He also says he has proof of illegal activities involving Combs and his team.
Jones’ lawyer, Tyrone Blackburn, also represents Gardner, Combs’ accuser. Blackburn said the investigation won’t delay their pursuit of justice. Shawn Holley, Combs’ attorney, denied Jones’ claims, stating they have proof they’re lies.
Ryan Mendelsohn, who visits the LA neighborhood, expressed shock. He saw parties and women at the home, especially late at night. He didn’t realize Combs lived there until now. Mendelsohn saw Black Chevy Suburbans at the house.
